Mixed vegetable sooji (cream of wheat)

So here is the first recipe... a delicious sooji lunch I prepared for Jord today. 


  
In a pan roast 1.5 cups of sooji or cream of wheat in medium heat until golden brown (for about five minutes). remove from stove and let it cool. You are now ready to make the delicious and quick vegetarian sooji dish.

Step 1: Fry 1 tsp of whole garam masala and 3 red Kashmiri chillis in 1 tbsp of olive oil.
Step 2: Add 1 cup of finely chopped onions and saute until translucent.

Step 3: Add 1/4 tsp of ground garlic and saute.

Step 4: Add 1/4 cup frozen or fresh peas, 1/4 cup carrots, and 1 cup finely chopped green bell pepper.
Step 5: Add the spices- 1/4 tsp coriander powder, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, 1/4 tsp ground garam masala, 1/8 tsp red chilli powder, 1/8 tsp cumin powder, salt to taste.
Step 6: Add 3 cups of water and bring to a rolling boil.
Step 7: Turn the heat to low and add 1 and 1/2 cups of roasted sooji or cream of wheat and mix well. Let it sit on the stove for a minute and serve warm.
